It’s Martin Garrix’s favorite pizza spot in AMS, and it’s mine now too. The pizza was SO good. Cannot recommend it enough! It’s also a small and intimate restaurant- so reservations are highly recommended. Great for a date too!

First, we truly enjoyed the fresh black truffle pasta at Fiko which, perhaps, was some of the best we have had outside of Italy. However, I am not one to write reviews of every restaurant at which we dine, but felt the need to point out a few things. When we arrived, we noticed that the sign declared that we would be having an “Italian Food Experience”. My husband and I are not looking for an “experience” when we are simply desiring good food and attentive service that we might not have at home. Despite this, we were hopeful and agreed to prepare ourselves for a meal like we typically have in Italy, a place we visit often. The first observation that gave us pause was the trendy decor and especially dim lighting that is not characteristic of the best authentically Italian places to dine. Cuisine varies a lot in Italy according to the local tradition and available products. However, if one sits down in a trattoria to eat, it is assumed that they will be greeted with a basket of bread and water (still or sparkling, as desired). A small charge for seated customers might be expected, but it insures that a diner will have the basics and establishes goodwill between the guest and kitchen. Though it is not especially common for restaurants in Amsterdam to offer bread and water, we believed that the act was certainly crucial in carrying out the true Italian “experience” . Our waiter was Italian and provided helpful wine and menu advice, but there was an issue where the hostess appeared to be putting great effort into taking care of customers waiting to place their orders. Unfortunately, the waitstaff did not appear to be assisting her in meeting diners’ needs. As a result, the service was a bit rough and might benefit from some better teamwork and training.

Great vibes does not equal good food. It’s been the trend I’m noticing in Amsterdam where they lure you into the restaurant and then the food is pricey and is a disappointment. Ordered: Truffle pasta: was expecting a more saucy and rich sauce. The pasta was on the border line of being dry and for 40 euros, I expect perfection. Linguine vongole: literally had no taste. Had to send it back. Veal Milanese - cooked well, basic but nothing special We waited an hour for our food after the focaccia which cost 7.5 euros (should be free in my opinion) the flavorless linguine was a let down. Service was slow and although the vibes immaculate, I would not pay the price point for the quality. I don’t care if Martin Garrix has signed the wall of fame haha

delicious pizzas. you must try the desserts. if you wanna book a table before go they take 30-€ for deposit. but should book a table cause of its small place.

Ordered arrabbiata and garlic focaccia via Uber eats. Nothing outstanding but was warm and filling. Expensive though!

Wonderful place to get great Italian food. Pistachio and Nutella cheesecake was splendid. The carbonara was just right and the pasta was perfectly al dente. I will be saving this place in my favorites 😍. …
